CHARLOTTE, N.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–On Thursday, June 14, 2018, the Northlake Courtyard and Residence Inn hosted government and industry leaders in the Charlotte area to celebrate the hotel’s official opening with a welcome event to showcase the property. Reception attendees included city officials, council members, business representatives and additional leaders in the community.

The Northlake Courtyard & Residence Inn has brought critical international investment into the area, supporting more than 600 new jobs and increasing the region’s future tourism revenue. The project came to fruition through key partnerships with Live Oak Bank, CapitalNexus, and American Lending Center (ALC), a leading EB-5 regional center, and will generate significant local economic impact in the region. In 2016, the hotel received the largest approved Small Business Administration loan in the state.

Community leaders were on hand to show their support for the project, including representatives from Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and the office of Senator Thom Tillis. “The Northlake Courtyard & Residence Inn will bring good-paying jobs and generate economic growth to the North Charlotte Region,” said Senator Tillis. “I want to thank Marriott and the American Lending Center for investing in this important project that will benefit North Carolinians for decades to come.”

With 188 rooms and standard-setting custom décor throughout, the hotel will offer a significant entrance into the local hospitality market and welcome new tourists and conferences into the area. In addition, the Northlake Courtyard and Residence Inn is leading the way in socially and environmentally conscious hospitality as an eco-friendly property: rooftop solar panels will generate a full ten percent of the total energy consumption.
